This exam preparation course will prepare you for the IELTS (International English Language Testing Systems) test. This is the ideal test if you need to study or work where English is the language of communication. IELTS scores are recognized by universities and colleges, employers, immigration authorities and professional bodies. British universities and other centres of education generally require IELTS level 6.0 or higher as evidence of language ability.
The course is available at all levels from Intermediate to Proficiency and you will be placed in a class which is suitable for your level.
Group work will be balanced with individual support and encouragement from your teacher.

Who is the course for?
This course is ideal if you are planning to take the IELTS test and want to improve your score. You’ll be able to concentrate on strengthening specific areas of English that you feel need improvement for different parts of the test.
Your English level should be B1+ mid intermediate (IELTS band 4.5 - 5.0) or above to take this course and you’ll need to pass an entrance test in order to be placed in a class with students of a similar level.

The focus of this course is on gaining techniques and strategies to help you pass the IELTS test. Your teacher will ask you what IELTS score you are hoping for and work with you to create a study plan to achieve it.

FCE is an intermediate level Cambridge ESOL exam, at level B2 of the Council of Europe's Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Choose FCE if your knowledge of English is adequate for many practical everyday purposes, including business and study.
First Certificate in English shows that your ability to use English is at the upper intermediate level, or level B2 according to The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
Cambridge First Certificate in English is well-known and recognized in over 100 countries worldwide and may be valuable for your international professional career and studies abroad.
Successful candidates have the ability to deal with routine letters and telephone enquiries, and to cope with some non-academic training courses and simple textbooks and articles. FCE is also useful preparation if you are working towards higher level exams, such as CAE (Certificate in Advanced English) and CPE (Certificate of Proficiency in English).

Who is the course for?
FCE is ideal if you want to work or study abroad or to develop a career which requires language skills (e.g. business, medicine, engineering). FCE indicates sufficient proficiency in English to be of practical use in clerical, secretarial and managerial jobs in many industries, in particular tourism, where contact with English speakers is required.
